Happy 18th birthday Peter. You should have been able to grow into adulthood rather than having had your painful, sad little life brutally cut short by those monsters. Thinking of you xxx

Messages left with donations to the NSPCC in memory of Baby P. Never forgetting Baby Peter. xxx Anonymous 03 March 2021 In memory of Baby Peter as we approach his birthday on March 1st. Also in memory of all children who have suffered or experienced fear at the hands of those meant to protect them. God bless them all. xxxxxx Anonymous 26 February 2020 In honor of baby Peter, on the anniversary of his passing. Rest in peace Rabia Zafar 04 August 2019 Today would have been your 13th birthday, Peter. You would be celebrating the beginning of your teenage years today, if you were here. Although you are gone you can never be forgotten, by so many all around the world. You have made me an advocate for vulnerable children everywhere, those too young to speak for themselves in particular. Through your story I have become dedicated to supporting children's advocacy groups and will pursue work in child protection any way that I can for the rest of my life. Life was cruel and unfair to you and so many like you, but we will always work towards love and justice! Rabia Zafar 01 March 2019 In memory of Baby Peter, remembering you today on your birthday. Remembering also all other children who suffer harm from those who are meant to care for them. Anonymous 01 March 2019 Dear baby Peter...11 years ago today you left this world. I pray that you are in a better place...happy and safe, far from what you endured in life. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You lived a short time, but will always be loved by many. Your life was always precious and now it is a reminder that there is work to be done in advocating for and protecting children. Love you, little Smiley Rabia Zafar 03 August 2018 £20 raised from collection tin from the staff and students at Cornwall College, thank you for your ongoing support x Denise Cornish 12 April 2018 You would have been 12 years old today, baby Peter. Thinking of you all the time, but remembering you even more on your birthday. If there is a Heaven then I can only hope that you are finally free and safe. You deserved so much more than what this cruel world gave you...but you are loved now, by countless people. I will always remember you and am going to pursue work in child protection in your honor. Happy birthday, angel. Rabia Zafar 02 March 2018 Dear Baby Peter, honouring your memory always, but especially today on your birthday. Lots and lots of love and many blessings. xxxxx Anonymous 01 March 2018 Baby Peter, today marks 10 years since you died. I am so sorry for what you endured and will never forget you. I have cried so much thinking about how you deserved all the love and happiness in this world, yet didn't get it from the ones that you trusted to care for you. Your story broke my heart, but it also changed my life. I will always remember you and will honor your life in any way that I can. I will do random acts of kindness in your name and tell people about your story. I've decided to go into child protection, to fight for other children like you. I will donate to your fund and to children's advocacy groups. I will even visit your memorial with my children and leave a Pooh bear there for you, as I know how much you loved yours and how you were never without it. But most of all, I will keep your memory alive and I will dedicate my life and its work to honoring your legacy. Rest in peace, little angel. Hope that you are finally free and far from the pain, loneliness, sadness, and suffering that you experienced. Rabia Zafar 03 August 2017 In memory of Baby Peter on his birthday. Always remembered. I hope all your tears of sadness are now tears of laughter, playing safely, with hugs and kisses from all the baby angels. I hope you are all now happy with all sad memories washed away. Sending you so much love little one. Love and kisses and hugs. Caroline & family xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Caroline Jones 28 December 2008 Having a fifteen month old my own, who bares very similar physical characteristics of 'Baby P', has really brought this case home hard to me personally. I look at my child asleep or awake and it's beyond my comprehension how anyone could even have the thought of neglecting or abusing anyone, especially a defenceless child. To me, you do not have a family unless you're going to devote your life to bring them up in the safest, most cared for and loving environment possible. But even if you do have children, should you not be able to provide these core values, for whatever reason, there are always options available for allowing someone else to do so, i.e. adoption. There is no shame in having your child adopted; however there is no room within humanity for any form of neglect and / or abuse. So many things need to change to help prevent this happening again; extensive government funding for family services departments, more social workers with the time to spend with their cases, more administration staff to take the administration away from the social workers, less bureaucracy, the criminal justice system to deliver sentences with terms that are served in their entirety (no early paroles; criminals are their to serve the penalty of committing their crime) and communities (neighbours, friends and families) to act on any concerns over any neglect / abuse concerns they have. With regards family services, in the majority of cases there's no smoke without fire and it surely would be better to be wrong occasionally and have a child temporarily taken into care than an abused child being left with their abuser. We have zero tolerance for domestic abuse, why can't we have the same for child abuse? Baby P; forever in my thoughts and heart. Graham P.S. Dear Peter, today is the 8th anniversary of your death - as I type, almost to the minute. This date has been etched on my mind from the moment I read the serious case review into your death, and all the other articles and documentaries about it in the media. I am so, so angry with the people who did this to you. Even more so as justice does not appear to have been done - not that it can ever be done, even if your 'mother' and those awful men were made to suffer in exactly the same way you did, for nothing can undo the horrific abuse you suffered, and you were an innocent child - a baby. But today I am trying not to imagine what it must have been like to be you when you were alive. I hope that there is some kind of afterlife and that within it you are finally at peace and happy. Dear, dear little boy; we will remember you forever. With all love xxx
